Royal Flush II Sale A
very successful Royal Flush Sale was held on Thursday afternoon at
the Seaview Marriott in Atlantic City, NJ. The Sale was managed with
AMS Genetics. The Sale grossed a whopping $651,655.00 featuring embryo’s,
ET choices and two donor cows and the 56 full lots averaged $10,646.00.
Topping the sale & consigned by Jim and Nina Burdette was lot
2B a Baxter male sold to The Double Down Syndicate for $100,000. His
dam is the world famous Windy-Knoll-View Pammy-ET (VG-89) CTPI +1757,
1st Sr. 2yr old NY Spring International Show ’07, 1st Sr. 2yr
old & HM Int Champ Eastern National ’07 & Res. All-Am

Gala at Glen Valley Sale
brought together a large crowd to inspect and bid on the 98 full lots
that averaged $4,455.36. Leading the sale as the highest priced animal
to cross the shavings was Glen-Valley Shott Cassia-ET. This 10/05
Picston Shottle-ET daughter calved on 11/14 and already gave evidence
that she had the kind of udder to go along with her frame to be in
demand for embryos and AI contracts with a PTPI of +1674. She is out
of Glen-Valley Durham Casino-ET (VG-85) that has sons at Semex, ABS
and Select. The next dam is 3E-93 GMD-DOM and is followed in the pedigree
by three more EX, GMD-DOM dams. She was struck off to Gary & Mary
Housner, Elroy, WI. for $28,500. The second high monies of the event
came from another Picston Shottle-ET daughter. Glen-Valley Catrina-ET
was fresh on 10/11 and had already received a score of VG-85, VG-MS.
Her dam is maternal sister to Durham Casino and by Mara-Thon BW Marshall-ET.
Glen-Valley BW Carissa-ET (EX-92) is also a full sister to Select
Sires “Glen” bull. It took Michael Brubaker of Lebanon,
PA, $16,500 to claim ownership.
Selling as Lot A was Glen-Valley Rubens Sprinkle (VG-86, 2y) that
was Jordan Umble’s heifer and had the hefty responsibility to
be the focus of the Jordan Umble Memorial Fund. The buying syndicate
had raised $26,000 by sale time and when that syndicate offered her
in the sale, she was struck off for an additional $6,400 to a Chester
County Syndicate. To that point, $32,400 had been raised as seed monies
for the memorial fund. |

largest Harvest Sale to date, featuring over 130 lots, this year's
event was packed with outstanding pedigrees from some of the state's
finest herds. Topping the event at $26,500 was Lot #1, Mar-Bil Zenith
Gabby, an Ocean-View Zenith daughter from Mar-Bil Strmatc Gabrielle-ET
(VG-88, CTPI +1760). Gabrielle completed a record of 2-03 2x 365

Brigeen Farms, Turner, Maine, claimed the highest selling consignment
as the 1st choice female out of one of the latest EX-95 cows. Bringing
$30,000 from Mike Maloney, Malone, NY, was the opportunity to choose
from four EK-Oseeana Aspen-ET pregnancies out of Brigeen Convincer
Rhonda (EX-95) 1-11 2x 365 29,290 3.9 1153 3.2 923. Rhonda traces
back to the “Queen of the Breed” Roxy and completes 10
VG or EX dams.
The second highest price came from a live offering from Kay-Ben Holsteins,
Gorham, Maine, as they watched their consignment reach $27,000 on
a final bid from Mike Liberty % Juniper Farm, Gray, Maine. Kay-Ben
O Man Dedee-ET (VG-86) is a O-Bee Manfred Justice-ET daughter out
of Kay-Ben Durham Diedra-ET (2E-90) 2-11 2X 365 34,120 3.6 1216 3.4
1175. Diedra completes 8 generations of VG or EX dams. Deedee sold
open and ready to flush, to complete the contracts that she carried
for over $34,000.

25th anniversary of the sale was held Saturday. Prices remained strong
through the end of the sale, with Todd Galton of western New York
purchasing the top two high selling lots. Selling for $15,750 was
the buyer's choice of three 6/07 Aspen daughters from Cityview Gibson
Alcena-ET *BL (EX-91), a maternal sister to BKB Abby (EX-92) and BKB
Leduc Audrey (EX-91). They are all daughters of Cityview R Alicia-ET
(EX-92, 3*), an own daughter of Shoremar S Alicia (3E-97). The choice
sold in absentee, and was consigned by Brigeen Farms, Turner, ME.
The second high seller at $11,500 was Co-Vale Durham Darby-ET, a fresh

Spring Sensation Sale at Oakfield Dairy, Oakfield, NY, would be best
described as sensational with a group of animals with pedigrees that
would be the envy of any national sale. Good things do come in small
packages as evidenced by the sale topping day-old red heifer calf
that sold for $43,000 to Michael & Barb Kidd of Kidd Crest Farms,
New Liskeard, Ontario, Canada. Not just any red calf, she is a daughter
of Markwell Leader Rose-ET *RC (2E-91) (dam of Ladino Park Talent-Imp-ET
*RC) and sired by KHW Kite Advent-Red-ET. Claiming the second high
spot on the buyer's list was Castleholm Dundee Rhythm-ET, a March
`06 Regancrest Dundee-ET out of Astrahoe Stormatic Radiant (VG-88).
The potential to show and to become a 15th generation Excellent was
enough for the Elegance Futures Syndicate to pay $33,500 to relocate
her to Lomira, WI. Superb hospitality from the reception held the
evening prior to the sale to the pig roast offered sale goers before
the sale got under way, was the order of this event. |

second Bacon Hill Bonanza, topped off with an average of $6,830 on
104 lots. Lot #1, the highly promoted and talked about Fly-Higher
Oman Stutter-ET, was the high seller of the day at $77,000. Selling
with over $180,000 in contracts, this VG-88 O-Man from a VG-88 Durham
x 2E-92 Prescott, Stutter has an SCC of 47,000 and is milking 96 lbs.
Purchased by Robert Goldmann, DeSoto, WI, she was consigned by Bill
Peck of Welcome Stock Farm. The second high seller at $52,000 was
a Kings-Ransom consignment, Kings-Ransom Oman Dinty-ET, who sold with
contracts totaling $42,600. Dinty is out of an EX-91 Ricecrest Marshall
x VG-85, DOM Gibbon and then Kings-Ransom Cel Dima-ET (VG-87, GMD).
She was purchased by the Dryden, NY, syndicate of D. King, C. Holtz
& J. King. New Albin, IA, breeder Darren Meyers purchased the
third and fourth high sellers - Clear-Echo 822 Ramo 1200-ET for $41,000
and Clear-Echo 2635 Bol 1204-ET, both consigned by Clear Echo Farm.
The first, a Ramos daughter from a VG-87 Hershel, sold with bull and
embryo contracts and is scored VG-87. The second lot, a Boliver, is
VG-88 and out of a VG-85 Addison. The sale was hosted by the farms
of Bacon Hill - Welcome Stock, Kings-Ransom, Clear-Echo and Fly Higher.

Rosa-ET (2E-91, EX-MS), a 12th gen. Excellent that traces back to
the 2E-93 GMD Audrey Posch. Royal Rosa has a successful flush history
that has averaged 10 viable embryos per flush lifetime. She was consigned
by Erinwood Genetics, Geneva, NY, and was struck off for $14,500 to

$14,500 was a stylish 12/06 Toystory out of the well-known show campaigner

Jenny Conard, with son Cyrus and Wayne's folks, Willis and Pat, provided
a wonderful group of cattle, with particular outstanding heifers all
carrying consistently strong pedigrees from some of the breed's most
noted cow families and individuals. Star of the sale and bringing
the day's top price of $48,000 was lot #1, a milking 2-yr-old daughter
of the famed Shoremar S Alicia-ET (3E-97). Just scored VG-86 after
freshening two months ago, she was the picture of dairy refinement
from nose to tail and sired by Renaissance Triumphant, the Jed son
with the high type proof. Bidding was brisk before Gerald Cacciola,
Cobleskill, NY outlasted contender Howard Binder of Ft. Lupton, CO.
Binder, with partner Clark Woodmansee, bid $22,000 to get Annette's
September Stormatic heifer and $10,200 to take a July heifer by Damion
from the Lee daughter of Alicia's sister, Adeen (2E-94). Jack Pennings

Randleman, NC. Cara's 6/06 red Advent heifer also sold and was purchased

The Cornell Dairy Club worked diligently to prepare cattle for the
sale, with Dan Murray serving as sale chairman. Managed by The Cattle
Exchange, Delhi, NY, participating herds included Gaige Farms, Oakfield

was Lot #1, a first choice female from 11 transfers from D-J Durham
Sap *TV (VG-88). This Durham daughter has several sons in AI and 3
VG daughters to date, all with AI interest. Sap completed her best
record at 2-00 2 365d 33,420 4.4% 1468 2.9% 969. The next dam is a
VG-85 Bellwood with 3-10 2 365d 45,062 4.7% 2122 2.9% 1303 (1st NY

was purchased for $5,000 by Tom & Nancy Murray, Waterloo, NY.
Two other consignments reached the $5,000 level, including Maple-Dream
SS Bethany-ET, a 4/06 September Storm from Maple-Dream Rub Blossom-Red
(EX-90). Blossom, with 26,000 as a 3-yr-old, is out of a VG-87 Linjet
with over 100,000LT then an EX-90 Red dam. Consigned by Mary Klecha
of Greene, NY, Bethany was purchased by Sue Mower & Dennis Treen
of Curtin Dairy, Cassville, NY. The third $5,000 seller was Stonecree
Adv Flirt-Red, a 9/05 Advent daughter of Stonecree Factor Festive-Red
(2E-93). Festive has over 135,000LT to date, and is out of C Riversite
Dynam Josie-Red (3E-94), the 1997 HHM All-New York Aged Cow. Consigned

Valley Celebration Sale: An incredible group of Jersey cattle
filled the barns at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck,
NY, at the Oblong Valley Celebration Sale. The sale featured over
130 quality lots from the Peter Vail and Beneke families. Topping
the sale with much excitement at $40,000 was Lot #15, Extreme Electra
(EX92). Selling fresh in April, Electra will be hitting the tanbark
trail as a Sr. 3-year-old for the 2006 show season. Electra's 2005
show record includes 1st at the NY State Fair, 2nd at WDE, and 3rd
at the All-American in Louisville. Diamond-C Cattle of FL, JCL Land
& Cattle and Entourage Farm of OK and Cybil Fisher of WI are the
new owners. Selling for $31,000 was Lot #3, Arethusa Primetime Deja
Vu-ET, a September 2005 Primetime out of the world reknowned Huronia
Centurion Veronica 20J who just scored EX 95 at only 20 days fresh.
The fancy heifer will be calling Garnett, KS, home with Ron and Christy
Ratliff as the new owners. Rounding out the top three sellers at $20,000
was Lot #1, Griffens Cover Girl, also a 2005 September model sired
by Connection and out of the many time champion Griffen (EX-94). Adding
some color the their wonderful Holstein herd was Charlie Bean of Rolling
Spring, PA. What a crew...the sales force of Mike Heath, Mike Deaver,
Dan Upchurch, Ernie Kueffner, Dave Parkinson, Brian Sayles and Andrew
Vander Mulen captured the bids for auctioneer Dave Rama while Norm

Sale held last week during the Spring Dairy Carousel. Cowtown Outside
Tobi, a Outside from Tobis Durham Toronto (VG-87) sold for $12,900
to Steve Addis, Rocky Face, GA. Selling in service to Dundee, Tobi
was consigned by Cowtown Holsteins, Derby Line, VT. Her dam, a full
sister to Tobis Durham Titan-ET, hails from Ernest-Anthony SD Tobi-ET
(2E-96, DOM), the former All-Canadian and Res. All-American Stardust.

with 138,780M 5255F 4102P lifetime, then a 5E-92, GMD-DOM Standout

Barn Blowout Sale Hosted by Mar-Bil Farm with Humdinger Holsteins
and Spring-Fed Holsteins. The high selling animal was the
entry of Mar-Bil Farm for the final bid of $21,000 from the Empire
Associates, Adams, NY (Field of Dreams Genetics, McGarr Farms &
Coyne Farms). The offering was the pairing of Lot 1, Mar-Bil Outside
Geraden-Et (VG-86 VG-MS), PTPI +1634 and ME of 33,400M and lot 3,
her 6/03 maternal sister by Stormatic, with PTPI +1567. Their dam,
Mar-Bil Oscar Genoa-ET (EX-92 GMD-DOM) is a maternal sister to Mar-Bil
Rudolph Gusto. Gusto is the #10 bull of the breed, with a CTPI +1715.
The offering, thus, had six generations of VG or EX dams. The successful
bidders chose the Outside daughter, that will remain under the care
and management of Mar-Bil Farm. The second high selling offering of
the sale was a Red, 12/04 September Storm out of Rama-Way Outside

Sensation Sale hosted by Oakfield Corners Dairy at Oakfield,
NY attracted a large crowd and strong prices on Saturday, May 14.
Featured were a variety of strong pedigreed young cows, heifers, calves
and choices from Jonathan Lamb's extensive breeding and ET program
as well a strong consignment from Ziems Farms, Steve, Barb and Tim
Ziemba, Weedsport, NY and Kevin & Barb Ziemba's Ziem-Barb Way
at Aurora, NY
High seller at $27,000 was lot 1, a stylish March '05 daughter of
Hillcroft Leader Melanie (2E-96), three years an All-American and
the People's Choice winner for 2004. Arethusa SS Melody-ET, born Mar.
1 sired by September Storm, an outstanding, flashy, correct calf,
was struck off on the bid placed by Jeff Woods on behalf of Ernie
Kueffner, Boonsboro, MD. She was consigned by Oakfield Corners Dairy.
Leading the Ziemba's family consignments was the first choice female
by Braedale Goldwyn from 10 implants due in December from Budjon-JK
Gibson Enhant-ET, the Silky Gibson heifer from Krull Broker Elegance
(3E-96-GMD, DOM). Consigned with Elkendale Farm, this choice was struck
off at $11,500 to Laurie Beggs, Jack Zeh and Jim Putman, Ogdensburg,
NY.
The sale was preceded by a pig roast noon meal and introductions of
both families. Oakfield Corners operation includes 4000 cows milked
on two farms and 4000 heifers, operated by three generations of the

Farm Complete Dispersal. A pair of Integrity full sisters
topped the sale. Pamtom Foxbrook Int Nova-ET topped the sale at $21,500.
Scored VG-88 and recently fresh in February, Nova is from the one
and only Hilltop-Hanover Miss Naomi (2E-94) then Mansion-Valley Niagara
(4E-95, GMD-DOM) and Sher-Mar Highmark Hiawatha (4E-94, GMD-DOM).
The next four dams were all EX or VG. Nova was purchased by Lloyd
& Denise Pease and Reuben & Elizabeth Everitt, Susquehanna,

York Spring Holstein Sale drew a huge crowd of Holstein enthusiasts
that resulted in an average of $4,082 on 106 lots (including 6 embryo
lots). Lot number one was also the number one highest seller. Fly-Higher
Holsteins and Kings-Ransom of Valley Falls, NY offered the first choice
from the first successful flush to Goldwyn or Shottle out of Ralma
Durham Frisky (VG-88) PTPI +1754 PTA +1108M +37F +40P. With five sons
committed to one stud, this young Durham is out of the Ralma Juror
Faith (EX-91 GMD DOM). The final bid was $25,100, on a bid from Randy
Inman, agent, of Bovina Center, NY.
The second high of the sale was another pick that went into one of
the many branches of the Queen Roxy family. This choice of ten pregnancies
by September Storm, due 9/15 was out of Wilcoxview BC Sky (EX-91)
w/ 3-07 365 28,140 1132 3.3 935. This choice, that is backed by seven
generations of excellent dams, was offered by the Screaming Eagle

Another September Storm was second high seller of the sale. Sandy-Valley
Septem Song-ET *RC, a October, 2004 heifer carries a PTPI of +1739
and sold with a contract for $5000 to Trans-World Genetics with Semex
expressing interest in talking to the new owners. Sandy Valley Holsteins,
Scandinavia, WI consigned this heifer with Dr. Paul Knier, Oshkosh,
WI buying the heifer at $12,500.
Unique to the sale by last in the ring was a *RC Durham granddaughter
of Blackrose herself. This extremely well balanced fancy calf was
consigned by Elm-Park Farms and Rosedale, Sheboygan Falls, WI and
